the ones who means the MOST.

Hello Followers :)

FINALLY.......Taylor is here!! Our place is perfect now! So so so "homey"!

After a very comforting conversation with a sisterly friend of mine I was inspired to post a blog tonight. Love you sista.

When you have a goal and passion for something and want nothing more than to commit and achieve, it's exciting and motivating.  Yes, I do believe that I have started my achieving process to my goal and I'm so humbled and proud of myself.  I have the best support system anyone could ask for.  There are so many friends plus family as well who I truly admire and couldn't thank enough.  Even though I have those people in my life that keep me going and after what I want, there is going to be those who continue to 'hate' (and i use that term loosley).  I blog for the people who are interested and to keep all friends and family updated at the same time.  It's hard to stay in touch individually.  There are most likely those who mock it, but if that's the case then just don't read it.. why waste your time? You don't have to continue.

Hey lovers!

There will be people in your life who you may think are there for you and have your best interest, but that's not always the case.  These past few years I have learned some huge life lessons.  I've learned to not spread myself too thin when it comes to friends and trust (also with guys too ;] ).  It takes a lesson or two...or three to learn, but that makes you stronger and more cautious.  Going through high school and a year of living the college experience I have definitely found my true true friends.  That is the most important.  People come and go, the best ones make there way in your life through it all, thick & thin no matter what.  Also, moving states has made me realize the people who truly care by shooting a simple text saying, "How are you?".  Those littlest things like that make my day (corny I know), but honestly it makes my day.  When meeting new people in your life my advice would be to go into it with eyes wide open and take time to learn who someone really is, not just the way they appear.  Who cares if the guys they're "s0o0o hot or the coolest in high school"...SO ARE YOU!  High school days are over.. You never know who's behind your back talking badly and then is a completely different person to your face.  One of my inspiring and intelligent friends shared an awesome quote,

"If you don't go after what you want, you won't get it. If you dont ask, the answer is no. If you never step forward, you're always in the same place".

I couldn't agree with this any more!  Having friends and people around you who are just as passionate about life and their future as I am is truly a blessing and inspiring.  Watching someone dedicated to going after what they want is inspiring to me.  So I thank all of you who have stuck in my life and always believed in me.  Also, I thank everyone who has decided to follow my blog and kept up with my adventure!  **If it's meant to be it'll be.. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON ;) xo.

GasGuzzler

Alright after all of this driving I have been doing I've become exhausted.. You all would be so proud of me, I have become 7,000 times more patient than I ever have been.. hard to believe I know :) Days have been busy with castings, interviews and keeping in shape.

Last night (Thursday) I went to a movie premier "Drive" after party and it was great!  Great people, vibes and food.  It's great to go to the littlest things because you never know what you can get out of it.  My friend Caroline found her new manager there :) (Also manager of Vanessa Ann Hudgens and Lindsay Lohan)  So proud of her!  I met so many great people here!  My lovely night ended up with skyping with my two best friends Emily & Erin... oh how I miss them SO much xo.

Today was very successful! Filled with a lot of great and sad/tragic news.  Great that I got 40$ back from Macy's One Day Sale! Also, I had my third and last interview with Cheesecake Factory and got hired!  I am so excited to start working next week!! It's been so long and can't wait to get busy and productive :)  Aside from that great news..  terrible news was brought to my attention that a girl from my town was in a very tragic accident involving her bike last night.  Thoughts and prayers go out to the family & you're not alone, you have an incredible amount of people here and praying you get through all of this after your loss R.I.P. KN.  I had another casting today then visited Caroline in Bev.Hills for some dinner.

I've been spending so much time in the gym since I haven't met many people.  I just got back from a 75 minute cardio workout and feel ready to go!! Keep healthy and positive thoughts everyone!  If you have a goal, go get it.  Everything is meant to be.  If something is put in your life, it is there for a reason.  Something positive?  Then it is there for you to concur.  Something negative? Then its a battle that God wants to you fight.  Keep your head up and go after absolutely everything you want.

Catch Up

**I just love that The Hills doesn't stop re-running on tv! I love driving through the hills everyday even more :)

So after being here for almost 2 weeks I've been going crazy not working!  I have though been fortunate enough to have two final interviews left at The Cheesecake Factory at two different locations.  At The Grove and Sherman Oaks.. I would love to work at either, but The Grove has such an amazing atmosphere and vibe about it.  Friday is the day I find out (crossing my fingers) !!

Tuesday was Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale and I had to drop everything and go.  When I walked into the store, I died.  I went absolutely crazy and then had to step back for a sec and remember that I have rent to pay for now!!! But I did buy two big bags, and sweat shorts.  That store is so inspiring to me!  Just walking in gets me excited :)  Finished off my Tuesday night with the lovely Caroline Piers at some yummmmmmy Sushi!

Modeling is moving right along for me.. just got my test photos back and getting going on castings.  Had my first casting today at Spirit Hoods, really cool idea/company!  Then I met with a friend to catch up in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive.. always good catching up with people you haven't heard from in awhile!  I love driving out to WeHo, but I HATE the traffic... the 405 is the worst freeway in the U.S. Terrible.

I have a job for 5 fashion segments on KTLA Tuesday, yayyyyyyyyyys

That's all for now, I just felt like it's been forever and it's only been two days.. I'm lonely, can you tell?

Clean Bod

**side note: E! has their Sunday premiers starting tonight!  Starting with Ice Loves Coco and followed by my favorite: Keeping Up With the Kardashians: Season 6!  It's crazy to believe that someone would like their entire lives under a microscope and that people are actually obsessed with it.  I have NO room to talk because personally I am very into the reality series.  Since we have 3 girls in our family, my dad has a Kardashian for each one of us.  Supposedly I am Kim, Tatum is Kourtney and Sydney is Khloe.  Can't wait to watch the new season!

Keeping Up Season 6 on at 10pm

I have a slight obsession with health, calories, labels, exercise and living clean.  Until I stopped playing volleyball I could eat whatever I wanted and didn't even have to think about it.  Then when my junior year of high school rolled around, my metabolism began to slow down.  Little did I know I had to completely change the way I lived physically.  I have been modeling since I was really young, but doing it more and more starting my junior year of high school and signed with Ford Robert Black AZ.  As a model, you always have to keep an eye on anything you put in your mouth.  Most people think/say, "all models are anorexic"... FALSE.  I really get irritated when people say that and want to prove to people that it's not true.  Yeah there are some, but so are other people who aren't in that industry.

My freshman year of college I was deathly afraid of gaining the infamous "freshman 15".  I was convinced that that would never happen to me and I would do everything I could to prevent that.  Unfortunately, I came to see that that is impossible.  Of course my dorm was on north campus and the gym is on the south side of campus.  Yes, I went an hour each day, but I ate as I pleased.  Once winter break rolled around I knew I had to make a change, and I did!  Modeling became my passion and dream and I wrote down my goals on paper (and I still have them) and all of second semester I strived for that goal.  I couldn't just start working out better I had to eat healthier! That's key.  Ate differently and changed my workout.  I payed attention to my health and would love to show some tips with you :)

What you eat doesn't have to be crappy food to taste good.  There is healthy food you can substitute for it and cut 200 calories in one sitting.  Even if you get a Vitamin Water ZERO instead of a regular Vitamin water (cutting 200 calories and sugar) and whole grain/wheat bread instead of white bread.  Easy changes can help you drop lbs instantly!  I really try to watch what I drink too because I'd rather eat my calories than waste them on a sugary drink.  I love love coffee and have figured out ways to cut tons of calories out of it and still taste delish!  Get it light: sugar free flavors, non fat milk, more coffee (the more caffeine, less calories) or just get a cup of black coffee with sweet n low and non fat flavor :)  Top foods to eat would be : fruits, veggies, lean meats (turkey, chicken or fish), egg whites, and so that all of your food isn't dry and boring use SPRAY BUTTER!  My old trainer showed me to this and I'm extremely obsessed.  Spray as muchhhhh "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" on your toast or veggies and there's no calories, carbs or fat! Amazing!!

** Remember if you're even thinking about grabbing food on-the-go like Taco Bell; the cheaper the food the more the calories ;)

think: NO quiero Taco Bell

Make the switch

GET IT!

Not only eat well, but find a workout that works best for you!  For ME, I run and do pilates and yoga.  Run run run and the lbs will shed faster than you can think!  Running intervals is actually the best.  If I'm on the treadmill I'll start with walking four (4) minutes at 4.0mph and then running at 5.0 mph (fat burning zone) or 6.0 mph for two (2) minutes then walk for one (1), etc!  And if you're a treadmill "hater", take a nice run outside!  Ever since I've been in LA I have had the amazing opportunity to have amazing scenery and weather for a relaxing job outside.  I promise it'll work wonders on your bod.  Also what I have found to 'work wonders' is doing yoga and pilates.  I always hated going to the yoga classes at the gym, it seemed so dragged out.  My mom bought me a yoga mat and a dvd and I just do it at home now! I have become faithful to yoga and pilates, daily.  The yoga only takes 30 minutes and the pilates takes only 20 minutes!  It doesn't take long and it will shape your body in ways you would never think.  Stretching your muscles to make them long and lean.  The most advice for working out I can give is to run and do yoga.

Find a nice park if you don't have this scene!

Exercise is my way of being happy and productive and is daily in my life..  If you have any other questions about healthy lifestyle feel free to ask.. I'm a little obsessed with this and love research :)

Family Vacation

Before I begin this blog I want to say a very happy birthday to ADRIANA LIMA!!! she's such an inspiration and all around humble & gorgeous angel.

**I feel like it's been so long I got so anxious to blog all weekend because it was so productive!!

It's always refreshing when family comes to visit.. My two younger sisters Tatum and Sydney and my mom came to visit me this weekend.  I was doing my morning workout and received a call from my agency for a test shoot for Friday!  Yesss... very exciting to get going and started, but my family was arriving in 2 hours! I felt bad, but they had lots to see!  They went to the Beverly Hills neighborhood to see all the starts houses, The Grove (where they spotted Britney Spears) and the Hollywood sign.  Meanwhile, I was getting my hair and make-up done for a beautiful shoot in the Hollywood Hills!  We drove up through the hills to the top where you could see the whole city of LA/Hollywood, amazing to say the least.  4 looks, amazing photographer (Andi), a fabulous make-up artist (Sephora) and a fantastic hair stylist (Dre).  Such a great first shoot out here, with more to come earlier this week!

Having a weekend of company was refreshing after a long week alone!  Can't wait for Taylor to arrive and we can  be "lazy" all day together :)

Aside from my family coming, I have been on a long journey of a job hunt.. Not as easy as I thought it would be!!  I have turned in applications/resumes at A&F, Cheesecake Factory, and CRAVEcafe.  I have my second interview tomorrow (Monday) morning on the phone!! I'm crossing my fingers I get it :] Though I'd like to get a job at The Grove location, I'll take any for now!

My ALL time favorite new coffee shop is Coffee Bean Tea & Leaf.  TO.DIE.FOR. <-- that's the only way I can describe it!  Coffee so smooth,  so many choices to make your drink lighter & all around amazing!

About to go do my daily workout, number one of two today and I will be coming back today/tonight with a workout/healthy lifestyle blog so revisit today and see ways you can have a clean healthy lifestyle without going TOO crazy!

COUNTRY MUSIC love

So last night my eyes were glued to the tv watching the CMT awards!!! My second favorite night on television (next to the VS Fashion show of course).  Taylor Swift and Shania Twain start off the show with a little clip they filmed (so cute).  I can't help but obsess over the cowboys and meaningful music.  Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band & Toby Keith.. just to name a few.  Even though my boy Biebs is not considered country music, he managed to win Collaboration of the Year "That Should be Me" ft Rascal Flatts as well as presented Rascal Flatts onto the stage to performe.  This may sound so junior high-ish of me, but he is SO inspiring!  Luke Bryan was another babe I was dying over... ow ow.  Overall the night was unbelievable.  Country music is so successful at making their award show nights, unforgettable.  Unforgettable with Jason Aldean ending the night with Ludacris on his hit single "Dirt Road Anthem".  Can't wait for next year.

I'm so excited to see one of my best friends, Aryelle today! Ah I've missed her so much. xox
My sisters and mom come this weekend and I cannot wait to take them to fun places!  Hollywood Stars, beach, The Grove, Farmers Market, CRAVEcafe. Yogurtland. Just to name a few ;)

Coffee Mornings

I honestly don't think I can't start out my day without a simple cup of coffee with sweetener.  On a gloomy/rainy day, it's definitely necessary :) And since Taylor will be bringing our maker in a couple weeks, I was so excited when I found out that downstairs provided it complimentary for the time being!

My group interview at Abercrombie and Fitch yesterday went well! * hard to tell when you're in a group of 8.  Before the interview I caught the taping of the entertainment television segment hosted my Mario Lopez, EXTRA! That was cool to see.  I also met 2 great girls at the interview!

The gym is on my to-do list as well as applying at a few coffee shops/cafes.. eveeeeeeeeeen though I don't know how to make coffee, why not?!

SIDENOTE: I also visited my agency and they are going to set up a test shoot with me for more beauty shots/swim.. I'm excited to get started :)
updates soon..

#CaliforniaGirl

As I lay on my floor watching "The Hills 'OMG' Marathon" and obsess over Lauren "LC" Conrad's amazing style and personality, I realise I have officially become a California girl.  My dreams have truely come true.  Since I was a little girl I told my mom that I will live in California and it was always all talk, now it's my new life.  In December of 2010 I knew I had to make it real.  Writing my goals on paper changed my life.  I have just signed with Vision models on their women's and commercial board and I couldn't be more anxious/excited. Soooo LA right?!  Yes I may be one-in-a-milion trying to 'make it' out here, but hey, I know I can do it and that's all that matters !  Taylor is moving out here in two weeks and I'm so excited!!

After I dropped off my mom at the airport today I took a drive to my favorite park in LA, Griffith Park in Los Feliz.  Then my workout of the day began running the gorgeous hills in 77 degree weather couldn't have been any better.  Then I began a quick adventure to Santa Monica beach only about 20 minutes away! I can tell you I'll be spending plenty of my time there.  At the beach I ran about 3 miles. All I can say is, amazing. Finishing off my workout with relaxing yoga in my apartment.

Tomorrow is going to be busy beginning at my agency and getting going with everything!

I decided to take my friends and family on my journey with me and blog about all the opportunities that come my way. Keep tuning to "CITYandHILLS".
