On My Mind

Today I shot a look book for Silver Jeans Co.  Worked with such an amazing team and found so much inspiration!  I don't have a post today but just wanted to show you all through pictures what inspiring things were running through my mind all day.  I just can't get enough. The poses, styles and feel to all of this is getting me excited just talking about it.  Starting off with my favorite picture right now of Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge.

Long Time No Talk

Wow it's been WAY too long since I've posted! I've been crazy busy! Cheesecake, castings and visiting family and friends!

This past week I went to Victoria's Secret at The Grove to stand in line and take a picture with MY FAVORITE angel, Candice Swanepoel.  Before she sat in the chair to take pictures, she came over to me and interviewed me about the new collection she was promoting, VS Fantasies.  I cannot believe I got to talk to her! From obsessing over the computer and VS runway, she was right in front of me talking to me!!!! AHHHH #dreams

but since I have visited my family, I have looked to my younger sister for help.. yes younger sister.. Tatum.  She is such a focused person and keeps me driven.  BTW congrats to Tatum for losing 19 pounds since December.  Only 15 years old and she was doing what people at the age of 25 and above are struggling to do.  I am so blown away when I look at her.  I was making compulsive bad choices in my health.  Going to bed late, bad food choices due to being so busy, not eating until late, etc.  I was getting so busy with castings starting at 9 am and then work following that until 1230 every night.  I was getting so worn out.  I started to get sick and became super negative.  Taking 4 days off modeling/cheesecake got me rejuvenated, motivated and my head is now back on my shoulders. :)

So I have realized that to lose weight, staying happy and healthy.. you have to be clean with your diet and deticated to a daily workout.  Eating every 4-5 hours and about a 45 minute workout.  Here is an example of what I have been doing the past few days (and will continue from now on)and I feel absolutely AMAZING!

*eating healthy is not cheap, but it's 100% worth it.

• Wake up - 9 a.m.

*Eat a banana before hitting the gym 

•  Workout CARDIO - 930-1015 a.m.: my cardio consists of a 4 minute warmup on the treadmill at 4.0mph and then on to 5.0mph for 2 miles.  I cool down with a 10 min walk at 4.0mph. finishing off with a nice stretch :)
• Breakfast - 1030 a.m. : 3 egg whites scrambled, 1 piece of multi grain toast topped with SPRAY BUTTER (zero cals or fat), 1 container of strawberry yogurt LITE&FIT with fresh strawberries on top.
• Yoga - 1130 a.m.
• Lunch 230 p.m. - half of turkey sandwich on 1 piece of multi grain toast, fresh strawberries and wheat thins (not too many!)
• Dinner 630-700 p.m. - 3 egg whites scrambled with pieces of turkey mixed in, yogurt and fresh strawberries
• If you are dying for a snack before bed I usually go for popcorn (no butter) or some frozen yogurt

I hope this helps anyone who is struggling with diet or is always Googling tips on how to lose weight.

NONstop

I'm watching the 'I Wanna Go' music video.. interesting! BUT still will always love her and bummed I missed her concert Femme Fatale tour.  

I can't tell you how insane these couple weeks have been!!  Running around with castings all day,  3 new test shoots and getting my newest job at The Cheesecake Factory!

A week ago I had a test shoot in Long Beach, CA... about 40 minutes from my place.  The shoot was at 6pm and in LA traffic is no question, I had to leave at 4:30!  The whole time I was getting so nervous because the 405 is literally like a parking lot. But I made it!  The shoot was a test for everyone: me, the photographer, make up artist, hair dresser and stylist which made it so fun to get creative!  Creative is what it was!  At one point I had an afro.... not kidding.  We got done around 11:30pm and I still had a 40 minute ride home #STARVING so obviously I stopped at In-n-Out to get a milkshake as a treat :)

Sunday was the busy day!  I had another shoot in "the hood" of LA.  10am and the homeless are out to play!  I'm so glad Taylor got to come with me and sit behind the scenes!  Can't wait to see the images we got!  Finished around 2pm and right after I was on my way to the Burbank airport to head back to AZ for another shoot! Loved being home and spending time with my family.. I miss them very much.  Tuesday was shooting day for Sir Alistar Rai, with a 9am call time. Click on this link to see the wardrobe I was wearing!--> Sir Alistar Rai  long shoot day ending around 4 and I had to take off to the airport for a 4:45pm flight!  You should have seen me in the airport... kinda embarassing, I was sprinting to my gate.  Good thing I did because I made it back to LA ! 

I had my first day of The Cheesecake Factory the next morning at 10am!  Learning tables, greeting and all the hostess stuff I was used to!  Definitely do miss Nando's, but change is good.  My shift was over at 4 and that's when I started my long traffic drive home so I could pass out and have a casting and another test shoot starting at 9am the next morning!

The casting was for Shoe Dazzle (never heard of them before) in LA and then I was off to MALIBU!!!! I was so excited because I've never been before, but just heard amazing things.  And amazing was the least of it.  The shoot was by far the sickest set and team I've ever worked with!  So chill on the beach and got great images!  I'm SO excited to see it all the pictures!  Yesterdays shoot reminded me why I'm here doing this as a job.  I honestly fell i love with modeling all over again and couldn't stop smiling or talking about it to Taylor (she's probably like, "okayyy I get it!!!").  I just couldn't help but share !

After a hectic week already Taylor and I are finally getting a roomie day!  Off to CRAVEcafe for breakfast and the movie Monte Carlo! We're obsessed with Selena Gomez... hehEHEHe. and I just love Leighton Meester. YAY!
